You Can Help Mootchie Complete Doctoral Program |
My name is Mootchie Alcin. I'm a wife, mother, educator, lifelong learner, and an overall proponent of women and families. I teach drama to students at Miami's Norland Senior High School and I am also a loving mother to three beautiful children: Skye (10), Saige (8), and Summer (6).
I also direct Chie Moo Arts Inc., a non-profit organization that educates youth through the arts. In all of my roles, I serve as a motivator and resource to others. But today, I humbly request your help as I complete my doctoral studies in Educational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University.
The Situation: I'm only FOUR classes away from completing my PhD program and I am 50% complete with my dissertation on "The Role that Theater plays in Motivating Reading Comprehension within High School Students". Tuition and fees for my final year of study will cost approximately $25K and I have maxed out on my school loans and do not qualify for school-based assistance (although I have maintained above a 3.5 grade point average). My household expenses will not permit me to take on additional private loans. Can you help me fund my final year of study?
If 50 people give $250, We will be half way to our goal. Below are my deadlines.
Due Dates Fundraising Goals Details June 30, 2015 $3,700 To bring student account out of arrears (unable to pay for last term). August 16, 2015 $9,500 The cost of (2) classes at $3,500 each + $2,500 re-entry fee. January, 2016 $9,500 The cost of final (2) classes at $3,500+ $2,500 re-entry fee Total $22,700 Graduation!
Upon graduation, I will continue to impact and encourage youth and women around the world. Finance should never be a reason to stop learning and growing, so I hope that you would consider donating to this fund. I will readily make myself available to engage anyone who desires additional information or documentation of this journey.
Any contribution would help, and I thank you for your support..
